After being teased in a post-credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Adam Warlock is finally making an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The casting decision was announced when James Gunn, director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, shared a tweet welcoming Will Poulter to the MCU and confirming rumors that have been circulating online about the actor’s involvement in the project.

Best known for his roles in The Maze Runner and as Eustace in The Chronicles of Narnia, Will Poulter will play Adam Warlock, the first character to have defeated Thanos in the comics. Sources claimed Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page and 1917’s George McKay were also in talks for the role since late August. In the end, Poulter was chosen to portray the character in the next Guardians installment
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is set to release on May 3, 2023 in theaters worldwide.
