Miss the ambiance of movie theaters and cinemas? Well, here’s some good news for you! The COVID-19 alert level will be lowered in Metro Manila amid declining COVID-19 cases, which allows cinemas and movie houses in the NCR to operate under alert level 3 at a maximum of 30% indoor capacity for fully vaccinated individuals.
To comply with the minimum health standards, movie houses and cinema employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Besides cinemas and movie houses, alert level 3 also authorizes venues for social events and receptions (weddings, parties, bridal showers, etc.), amusement parks and tourist attractions, recreational facilities (gyms, internet cafes, swimming pools, etc.), dine-in services for restaurants, personal care establishments (spas, barbershops, salons, cosmetic procedures, etc.) and in-person religious gatherings (wakes, necrological services, and funerals), so long as they follow health and safety protocols.

Under COVID-19 alert level 3, face-to-face classes are also expected to open for tertiary education and technical-vocational education and training under limited circumstances. Intrazonal and interzonal travel are also allowed, however, age restrictions and comorbidities are subject for approval by local government units (LGUs).

Of course, this means that we should remain vigilant in public and practice standard health precautions now that public gatherings, albeit of limited capacity, are now permitted.
