The overall top ten trending search terms in Google Philippines are (1) COVID-19 prevention, (2) NBA games today, (3) Squid Game, (4) VaxCertPH, (5) Miss Universe 2021, (6) COVID-19 vaccine, (7) Pacquiao vs. Ugas, (8) Pagsamo lyrics, (9) True Beauty and (10) Metro Manila area floods.
“COVID-19 prevention” and “COVID-19 vaccine” showing up in this year’s list of most searched terms in the Philippines signifies our continued reliance on Google Search when it comes to getting information about the COVID-19 pandemic. Google also saw relevant searches like “VaxCertPh” and “Metro Manila area floods” being included in the most searched keywords, while our fellow countrymen are never ones to miss out on flaunting their Pinoy pride, as exemplified by trending search terms “Miss Universe 2021” and “Pacquiao vs. Ugas”. Lastly, iconic pieces of pop media like Squid Game, the song Pagsamo, and Korean series True Beauty shows just how much we value our entertainment.
