Spider-Man: No Way Home was finally unveiled to many countries globally, ending years of rumors and theories from fans about what might happen in the highly anticipated superhero sequel.

Millions of fans returned to the cinemas to watch the third installment of the Tom Holland-led series, with No Way Home bringing in record-breaking numbers at an estimated $1.53 billion.

This performance marks the third highest opening weekend in box office history, and is the highest opening weekend for the month of December.

In other countries, the film was able to generate an additional $867.5 million since its release in December, according to Sony.

No Way Home continues Marvel Studios’ long streak of box-office records after 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now showing in cinemas, and is set to premiere in other countries this January 2022.
