It truly “Sounds More Fun in the Philippines” with the Department of Tourism’s destination-themed playlists for every traveler. Be it for someone taking a road trip over the weekend or someone simmering the nostalgia from their pre-pandemic adventures, there’s a selection available from this roster of playlists.
The Department of Tourism, in collaboration with musicians Myrene Academia, Ryan Joseph, Jocelyn Blwg, Matt San Pedro, Patricia Brillante-Silvestre and Abdel Aziz, curated the playlists featuring music from local and international artists with Filipino roots.
Each playlist radiates the vibe of its destination: Manila Night Lights reminds us of the glorious Manila when the city comes to life – from watching sunsets in Manila bay to hailing a taxi late at night after a night out, the music is perfect company in the city; Boracay Beach Vibes guarantees a good time with good company for a weekend they will never forget; Cordillera Calm will make you breathe in the beauty of the views in the Philippines with a laidback playlist that is perfect for grabbing a coffee at 6 am as one experiences the cool morning breeze on the mountains; and The Pan-Philippines Highway Road Trip promises a laughter-filled journey along the 3,517 km road.
Other playlists include: Onshore in La Union, Marilaque Bike Trail Mix, Balikbayan Juke Box, Counting Clouds in Camiguin, Wedding Vows in Tagaytay, Deep Dive in Palawan, and the recently added Dream Weaving of Lake Sebu.
With the long weekend ahead and our country’s diverse destinations in reach with the easing of quarantine restrictions, we’re looking forward to more playlists representing less traversed locations in the country. Tune in to DOT’s official Spotify account, Tourism Philippines, for more music.
