Despite only being on their less than a month of operation, this beef restaurant has amassed a following, and lines are forming across the street.
Rongklannuea, an independent braised beef restaurant, has found a second life in a dilapidated two-story shophouse hidden away on a quiet Songwat street. It has won hipsters’ hearts with its filling bowls of fatty meat.

Something makes the wait much more agonizing when you enter the ground floor and see a gigantic enormous pot filled with succulent pieces of beef. There aren’t many tables and chairs, and eventually it can grow so busy that lines cross the street.
The second level, while being empty, offers plenty of natural light and a good place watching the boiling pot below. The pricing isn’t inexpensive considering how far it is from the Sukhumvit area, but the quality speaks for itself.

The most opulent dish on the menu is the Emperor braised beef noodle (B250), which included a potpourri of braised beef, beef balls, sliced tenderloins, tendons, and beef tongues, all topped with sweet chili oil and crunchy garlic.
If you want to avoid the long lines, go after 3pm when the crowds start to thin out.
