Hey ARMY! Are you updated with the latest on our favorite boy group? It’s been almost a year since BTS announced their hiatus. Since then, they’ve gone their separate ways for now as the members’ military service loomed. Jungkook, V, RM and Jimin have been seen working hard with their personal projects. Meanwhile J-hope, Jin, and now, Suga, are currently doing their mandatory military service for South Korea.

Let’s dive deeper into the solo activities of the members – here is SEA Wave’s guide to what Jungkook, V, Jimin, and RM have been up to since BTS’s hiatus.

Jungkook

The “Golden Makane” of BTS just recently snagged the award for “Song of the Summer” with his song “SEVEN,” and last year, he also became the first Korean artist to perform at the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony.

Aside from the accomplishments above, he’ll be headlining at Global Citizen Festival 2023, an initiative that aims to raise awareness on sustainability and poverty issues around the world. Fans can earn free tickets by taking action on the Global Citizen website or app towards helping end extreme poverty.

Jungkook will also release his second solo single “3D” featuring Jack Harlow on September 29.

V

V is the last of the BTS members to release a solo project. He recently released his single “Slow Dancing” to coincide with the launch of his album, “Layover.” As of September 22, “Slow Dancing” has taken the top spot in music charts in US, Japan, and China.

Aside from his latest album, V has also dabbled in acting, with supporting roles in series such as Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, and more recently, as a cast member in Amazon Prime Video exclusive variety show Jinny’s Kitchen.

Jimin

Much like the other members currently focusing on their solo acts, Jimin isn’t falling behind. “Like Crazy”, one of the singles from Jimin’s debut album “Face”, continues to break records as it passed 532 million streams on Spotify – becoming the most streamed song in the history of the platform by a Korean solo artist.

He most recently appeared as a featured artist with Jvke and Muni Long on “Angel Pt. 1”, a song from the Fast X soundtrack.
