Who’s excited about the NSYNC comeback? It’s gonna be me.
Considered by some to be the quintessential boy band of the 1990s and 2000s, NSYNC reunited last September 12 to present the Best Pop Award at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). Taylor Swift, the eventual winner of the Best Pop Award, described the group as pop personified – an accurate description, as NSYNC ushered in an era of catchy dance tunes that dominated the charts and changed the music world.
After disbanding in 2002, NSYNC would occasionally come together for one-off performances or guest appearances. The group last appeared together on the VMAs back in 2013 when they performed Bye Bye Bye and Girlfriend, with band member Justin Timberlake receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. They briefly reunited again – in 2018 to receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in 2019 to headlined for Ariana Grande during Coachella without Timberlake, and in 2020 to virtually celebrate Lance Bass’ birthday with a Cinco De Mayo themed party.

It was confirmed a few days after their recent VMAs appearance that NSYNC recorded an original song entitled Better Place for the animated musical comedy film Trolls Band Together, which stars Timberlake as the voice of Branch, one of the film’s protagonists. While Timberlake teased behind-the-scenes moments of their preparation for the release of Better Place, Lance Bass described the song as a “love letter” to their fans who have supported them through it all.

NSYNC’s official Instagram page also posted a reel of the boys having fun during a photoshoot with their latest song playing in the background and a caption saying, “The stars have aligned, here we go again 💥. “
We can’t wait for the upcoming activities these boys have for us! Don’t forget to stay tuned for the Trolls Band Together film coming this November 17.
While waiting for more details of their activities as a reunited boyband, listen to their top hits like I Want You Back, Tearin’ Up My Heart, and It’s Gonna Be Me for that extra nostalgia boost.
