*Scape presents the Singapore Youth Film Festival (SYFF) returning for its 11th edition this 2026!
First created in 2015 as the National Youth Film Awards, the SYFF aims to foster award-winning filmmakers to inspire the next generation of cinematic trailblazers in the country. Following the theme “Focus, Gather, Bloom” the 11th edition is set to screen 43 film entries shortlisted from over 200 submissions across the Student and Open Youth categories. The event will also feature film programs, festival talks, workshops, and an awards ceremony.
Focus is about the creative journey and innovative spark, and includes the awards ceremony, where the Youth Inspiration Award, Most Promising Award, and others will be presented; Gather is a space where community and collaboration are at the heart of storytelling, featuring the Film Facilitation Membership and Film Critics Lab, which both aim to connect the youth with the film industry through mentorship programs from professionals; and lastly, Bloom embodies growth, expression, and transformation through cinema, featuring film screenings, festival talks, and workshops available during the 2-week event.
