This year’s International Book and Culture Festival is returning to Vientiane, featuring a wide variety of books.
Organized by D-Book Publishing, the National University of Laos, and the Department of Literature and Publishing under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Laos, the festival aims to promote reading, encourage cultural exchange, and engage the local community. The event was launched to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the National University of Laos, International Women’s Day, and World Poetry Day, in a celebration of books and culture.
This year, the book selection follows the theme of “Books Connect Cultures,” featuring 75 exhibition booths from publishers from the embassies of Cambodia, Canada, India, and Vietnam. The event is set to run with over 130 activities for visitors to enjoy, including 18 book launches, panel discussions and seminars with over 40 experts and authors.
Visit the Grand Hall of the National University of Laos (Dongdok Campus) in Vientiane from March 10 to 15 and join this event!
