The Straw Hats are back and in different forms with these new One Piece announcements!

As of this April, there have been four major announcements for one of the longest-running manga and anime, just after the release of the second season of its Netflix live action adaptation, One Piece: Into the Grand Line. Join us as we look through each of them below!

Elbaph Arc

For long-time fans of the anime series, we’ve finally stepped into the final saga. The first episode of the Elbaph arc released on April 5 and picks up after the Egghead Island arc, with the Straw Hats and the New Giant Warrior Pirates traveling to the island of the giants. New episodes release every Sunday on streaming platforms, so stay tuned for more!

Netflix and LEGO Collabs

The LEGO Group and One Piece collaborations are overflowing this year. Aside from the Lego sets announced for a rollout throughout the year, another collaboration in the form of an animated special is coming out, in partnership with Netflix. The streaming platform released a trailer featuring Usopp telling Chopper a story about pirates of the sea. The production is said to reframe moments from season one and two of the live-action series in a stylized LEGO look, which works as a recap for new viewers or those that are catching up on the story. Catch the LEGO One Piece special on Netflix this September 29.

One Piece: Battle of Alabasta

While season two of the One Piece live-action series ended last March, Netflix released the official title card for the third season, etitled One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta. The name implies that the third season will be focused on the Alabasta arc, where the Straw Hats alongside Vivi and her trusted allies go up against Mr. 0— the man who has been committing heinous crimes with his Baroque Works members to overthrow Alabasta’s kingdom. Catch One Piece: Battle of Alabasta in 2027.

The One Piece

Last but not least is a new anime series that aims to improve the pacing of episodes prior to the Elbaph arc. The upcoming series allows viewers to rewatch scenes from the anime with a new art style from Wit Studio (best known for SPYXFAMILY, Vinland Saga, and Ranking of Kings). The news was announced through a video, revealing new art styles for characters like Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, and others.
