Bang, bang, bang! K-pop boy group BigBang returned to the stage during this year’s Coachella event with an equally big announcement: an upcoming world tour!
Dubbed as the Kings of K-pop, BigBang debuted in 2006 to lukewarm reception, but rose to prominence from 2007 to 2008 due to a string of hit singles like “Lies,” “Last Farewell”, “Haru Haru”, and “Sunset Glow.” The group was best known for their trendsetting musical experimentation, hands-on production, and charismatic stage presence that helped boost the K-wave to international audiences. The group went through several hiatuses, with their most recent one being in 2017 due to military enlistment. Most recently, the group has gone down to just three members, with Seungri retiring from the entertainment industry in March 2019 and T.O.P leaving the group in May 2023—making G-Dragon, Taeyung, and Daesung the only members left in the group.
On April 12 and 19, the trio performed in the Outdoor Stage at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival, announcing that they will celebrate their 20th anniversary with a world tour. Daesung mentioned that the performance on the international stage is a reset for the group. “Do not miss out, and stay tuned,” said G-Dragon before the group ended their performance with their most recent single, “Still Life.”
The group recently released the dates of their world tour with Southeast Asian stops in Singapore on October 17, Hanoi, Vietnam on October 24 and 25, Bangkok, Thailand on November 7, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on January 9, 2027, and Jakarta, Iindonesia on January 16, 2027!
