Vietnamese fans of HBO classics can now enjoy their favorites directly from the source!
Warner Bros. Discovery announced that in light of its goal to expand its footprint in Asia Pacific, HBO Max will now be direct-to-consumer. Say goodbye to third-party distributors and say hello to directly streaming shows from HBO Max. Alongside this news is the cessation of HBO Go services in Vietnam.
Fans will get to watch new and returning HBO and Max Original series such as the third season of House of the Dragon, DC Studios’ Lanterns coming this August, and the anticipated first season of the new Harry Potter series coming this December.
At launch last June, the platform had Oscar®-winning movies like Sinners and One Battle After Another, HBO and Max Originals like The Last of Us, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Game of Thrones, and The Pitt, and the movie collections of Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings available for viewing. South Korean dramas like Yumi’s Cells, Filing for Love, The Legend of Kitchen Soldier, and Dear X were also included.
