A new ghost mystery series is coming to Netflix as part of its push to tell more Southeast Asian stories.

"Delusion" Stills from Netflix

Delusion is directed by Chayan Laoyodtrakool, best known for his Netflix series Terror Tuesday: Extreme. The title actually translates to Phap Luang Ty in Thai, meaning illusion and death. After all, not everything the eyes can see is what it seems.

This series follows Wan (Natapohn Phornprapha), a small town teacher in Chiang Khan, Loei Province in Northeastern Thailand. After a child goes missing in the village, the villagers’ suspicions are directed at Narong (Surasak Chaiyaat), Wan’s elderly father whose odd actions caused by dementia only make him more suspicious. In an attempt to prove her father’s innocence, Wan teams up with Pete (Jes Jespipat), a newly relocated police officer from Bangkok, to investigate the disappearance. As they dig deeper into the mystery, they connect the dots to a supernatural entity called Phi Phong—the same supposed entity that caused the disappearance of another child a decade ago.

Catch Delusion on Netflix this September 24.
