Warner Bros. released the much-anticipated trailer for the Rurouni Kenshin-live action film series’ fourth installment, “The Final”.

The manga and anime of Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X has gained quite the following through the years, as the first chapter of the manga was published on April 25, 1994 and turned into an anime series in 1996.

The series has 255 manga chapters, 3 anime seasons, 3 OVAs, 1 anime film, and 3 live action films, with 2 more on the way. With the franchise spanning more than 2 decades, Kenshin’s audience consists of both young and old viewers, all excited to see how the movie franchise will be ending.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final is said to revolve around Rurouni Kenshin’s battle against Yukishiro Enishi, the younger brother of Kenshin’s wife, Yukishiro Tomoe. The film, alongside its follow-up “Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning” will focus on the manga’s ending arc and the various plotlines surrounding it. Yukishiro Enishi serves as the main antagonist for the arc and both films will reveal the complex history surrounding Kenshin and Tomoe.

The Final will be released in Southeast Asian cinemas soon.
