The film is a sequel to the 1996 film Space Jam in which Michael Jordan starred as himself. This time, the NBA superstar LeBron James and his onscreen son team up with Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes.
NBA basketball stars are also said to make cameos in the film, some of which include Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul, Draymond Green, Kyle Kuzma, Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike and Chiney Ogwumike.
The sports comedy live-action and animated film is co-produced by James and acclaimed “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler, and directed by Malcolm D. Lee. Space Jam: A New Legacy is scheduled to be released in cinemas and on HBO Max on July 16.
