Loki, the Asgardian god of mischief we all know and love, will be appearing on our screens once more – this time, not as the villainous brother to Thor or the villain of the Avengers, but as the anti-hero of his own Disney+ series.
Directed by Kate Herron (Rest Stop, Sex Education) and produced by Michael Waldron (Rick and Morty), Loki finds Tom Hiddleston returning as the titular trickster alongside an all-star cast including Sasha Lane, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino.
The show is set after the events of Avengers: Engame, leaving the plot shrouded in mystery as (spoiler alert) fans still don’t know what happened after Loki’s supposed “death.” Much is unknown about the series and Loki’s fate within that timeline, but a recently released poster provides a few hints about the upcoming series.
The poster shows what appears to be Loki in a prison uniform, with his hands behind him. Is he in handcuffs? Or is he scheming? He is also wearing what is presumably a shock collar around his neck with the label “danger”. The giant clock in the background is an indicator of how time will play an integral role in the plot, and the multiple hands hint at the chaos Loki will be causing throughout the series’ six episodes as he takes the Tesseract with him through the various corners of the universe. It is yet to be confirmed if the Avengers will be making cameos in the show or not, but knowing Marvel, they surely have something up their sleeve.

It is yet to be seen if the other Avengers members will be making cameos in the show or if Marvel will be introducing purely new characters in Loki’s cast.
