Percy Jackson and his demi-god friends are coming to your screens this month as Disney+ premieres the new live-action series Percy Jackson and the Olympians on December 20!
Earlier this year, SEA Wave shared High Five things we’re most excited to see in the upcoming Percy Jackson series. With the Disney+ release coming up in just a few weeks, SEA Wave presents more exciting revelations about the series!
One of the most important elements of the Percy Jackson series is how it incorporates Greek mythology and the gods into its lore. Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+ introduces Lance Reddick as the almighty Zeus, Toby Stephens as god of the oceans Poseidon, Jay Duplass as god of the underworld Hades and Adam Copeland as the god of war Ares.
Other notable characters were revealed in a thread on X, announcing other cast members joining the adventure like Jason Mantzoukas, Glynn Turman, Charlie Bushnell, Lin Manual-Miranda, Jessica Parker Kennedy, and many more to round up the star-studded cast.
Aside from the cast announcement, the official Percy Jackson series Instagram page recently posted a reel sharing the episode titles for the first season of the show. Fans were quick to notice that the episodes used the exact chapter titles from The Lightning Thief, the book that the first season of the series is based on.
