You don’t have to visit Malaysia in person to bask in the country’s beautiful history—Galeri Khazanah is holding its sixth virtual exhibition entitled “Shifting Landscapes: Mapping Space, Time, and Memory” for visitors to explore Malaysia’s historic milestones.
Galeri Khazanah is an initiative launched by Khazanah Nasional Berhad as their mandate to bring Malaysian culture to the global and local audience. Its first virtual exhibition started in 2022, which became a milestone because of its unique showcase of Malaysian artistic heritage.
This year’s exhibit has a hybrid setup where visitors can see the digital and physical activation at the historic building of Seri Negara—a monument that saw the signing of the Federation of Malaya Agreement in 1948 and the Independence Agreement in 1957.
The virtual exhibition features 35 modern and contemporary artworks, photographs, and artifacts that reflect Malaysia’s rich past, dynamic present, and promising future across five distinctive digital galleries: Glass Room, Pavilion, Peranakan Room, Traditional House, and Lobby. At the physical exhibit, these artworks will be in their tangible form for those interested in witnessing a piece of Malaysia’s history in the flesh.
Visit the Galeri Khazanah website until March 9 to experience the history of Malaysia.
