Survive a new unforgiving world in Don’t Starve Elsewhere!

Known for its roguelike gameplay and randomly generated open world, Don’t Starve is the first foray of Canadian video game company Klei Entertainment into the survival genre. Players are dropped into the 2D action-adventure as Wilson, a scientist trapped in a dark, procedurally generated wilderness world known as The Constant. Like any other survival game, you have to craft your way into being alive, but the terrain of Don’t Starve is a little more hardcore than others, with a variety of surreal and supernatural enemies that will try to kill and devour players.

Don’t Starve Elsewhere is the latest addition to the franchise, set in a different world, with different items. The game is set to introduce a new jumping mechanic to the franchise, as well as vertical environments like mountains, cliffs, plateaus, and deep cave systems. A new mechanic also makes the decision-making aspects of the game interesting, as “The Fog” forces players to either flee to safety or risk their sanity to explore its secrets.

The game also has a new visual style incorporating dark gothic fantasy that is quite different from the original while also retaining its charm. It carries over the co-op play first introduced in Don’t Starve Together, while still having solo play available for players who want to try the game by themselves.

Add Don’t Starve Elsewhere to your Steam wishlist and stay tuned for more announcements about the upcoming game!
